Charles E. Almack, Principal – Has been working in the Architecture/Interior Design field since graduating from Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas. First, with a well respected Architectural firm, and then on his own for several years, before moving to Dallas, Texas. There he worked as Design Director for a design build physician owned developer of medical office buildings, then as a Studio Director for HKS and Partners, a firm of 400 plus. In Dallas he provided interior design direction for many large corporate banks, law practices and insurance organizations, each with a plan of no less than 100,000 sq. ft.
With a passion for sailing he worked his way west to capture the year round sunshine in Southern California. This landed him in San Diego where he worked for a small interior design firm, then on his own which he has since 1991. He established a student scholarship regatta in 1992 and turned it over after 10 years of continuous support. He continues to work hard at introducing young people and acquaintances to the art of sailing and the beauty of San Diego.
He serves as Director for the organization CC/SARA, (California Council of the Society of America Registered Architects) founded in 1956 as a grass roots organization promoting “Architect helping Architect”.
Through his years he has gained many new relationships with other Architects, designers, clients and manufacturers’ representatives and continues to hold these relationships in high esteem.
