Rita Monares, Principal – Gained project manager experience in her 10 years of working in the financial software field. Her roles were marketing, training, support and installation for billion dollars plus projects throughout the United States and Asia. Although her background in graphic design was put on hold during this period, the knowledge achieved in project management and experiencing various cultural differences has proved indispensible.
For the past 15 years she has been working in the commercial/healthcare design field on various projects for Kaiser Permanente and the most recent project La Maestra Community Health Centers which drew on her cultural experiences. Many new relationships have been born as a result of this project and she continues to provide support by her assignment on the Board of the La Maestra Foundation, which creates businesses to help support jobs for the immigrant population in the community.
