HISTORY
The first 10 years of the firm’s existence helped support design student scholarships through the founding of the IIDA Student Scholarship Fund Regatta. This fundraising sailing event helped give design students scholarships to support their education through a competition. This was an event that manufacturers and designers looked forward to every year and in its last year drew up to 150 participants with profits towards scholarships reaching the $10,000.00 mark.
Their commitment to serving community has both diviersified and intensified over the years. The list is growing as they encourage others to join them in service. They welcome your inquiry and interest in the special projects listed below.
S.D. KIDS AFLOAT
Interior Arch s.d. has been working with La Maestra Community Health Centers (LMCHC) for over two years and during this time they have forged many great relationships. As a result of these relationships they have continued to support LMCHC in their commitment to the community and their support of those less served. This support is in the involvement of their many fundraising events and well as the establishment of a new event S. D. Kids Afloat. www.sdkidsafloat.info
As avid sailors in the San Diego community this event is intended to give young children an introduction to sailing, safety, and being a steward on the water to keep our oceans clean. In addition this event will give them some hands-on experience on the water and a taste of competing in a regatta.
The goal is to raise funds in order to support future youth health programs through La Maestra’s many Youth programs at various school clinics which they provide.

CORAZON DE VIDA – LA HACIENDA DE LA IMMACULADA
Interior Arch s.d. as an organization provides continued support for La Hacienda De La Inmaculada an orphanage in the Matamoras region in Tijuana. It is run by Madre Virginia, a former hermit in the Catholic faith.
Beginning in 2009, the principals met a young architecture student whose senior project was to design and build a much needed classroom for the older children at the orphanage. One visit and it was obvious that many trips were in their future.
The firm helped by acquiring donations for furniture, clothing, toys and food to take on the many visits to the orphanage. They have also managed to get the support of others by taking them on one of their many trips where a day is spent barbequing, feeding and playing with the 80 plus babies, toddlers and teens. www.corazondevida.org
