Ambition: A large facility housing 150 phone operators with room for 100 more had to be a fun, inspiring workplace. Special care was a requirement for providing staff with an open environment, a feeling of comfort and privacy for fielding the many customer services calls and appointment setting.
Accomplishment: A 25,000 sq. ft. full service interior design project, including finish and furniture selection and specifications, construction documentation, and contract administration successfully delivered such a project. Bright colors were used in the employee lounge representing a restaurant type atmosphere, an outdoor patio off the lounge created a light vibrant space and gave the employees an outdoor option for taking breaks. Quiet rooms were placed throughout the call center area which gave staff a quiet living room setting.
The call center was an open work area and gave the call center managers ease in accessibility for support. Pods of 4 personal were delineated through the use of color in the finishes and flooring. Freestanding coffee stations were also set up in each quadrant to relieve them from having to go to the lounge which was on a different floor. The Call Center included training, public waiting and administrative support areas.
