SAN DIEGO, CA – 6,300 sq. ft. military service organization located at the San Diego Airport’s Terminal 2. We provided interior design and furnishings consulting for schematic design, design development, contract documents, furniture specifications and contract administration phases for the conversion of a baggage claim area to an airport arrival area for military personnel and their families. The space incorporated an internet lounge, library, audio/video area, as well as a separate café with vending and dining seating.

Ambition: Develop an existing large open space into an inviting and comfortable respite for departing and arriving military personnel with comfortable amenities to enjoy with their families.

Accomplishment: Through the use of natural colors, subtle patterns, spaces divided by transparent wall systems and comfortable lounge areas, the transitional areas were melded together for a functional/aesthetically pleasing comfortable environment.
